in\u00a0<strong data-start=\"231\" data-end=\"253\">Cyprus and Germany<\/strong>, jointly organised by leading academic and industry partners to explore how IT education can better prepare students for labour-market realities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"401\" data-end=\"703\">In\u00a0<strong data-start=\"404\" data-end=\"414\">Cyprus<\/strong>, the roundtable was hosted by the\u00a0<strong data-start=\"449\" data-end=\"490\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">University of Nicosia<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0together with the\u00a0<strong data-start=\"509\" data-end=\"550\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">European Centre of Emerging Competencies and Technologies<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<br data-start=\"551\" data-end=\"554\" \/>In\u00a0<strong data-start=\"557\" data-end=\"568\">Germany<\/strong>, the event was organised by\u00a0<strong data-start=\"597\" data-end=\"638\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0in collaboration with\u00a0<strong data-start=\"661\" data-end=\"702\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">PureSec<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"705\" data-end=\"970\">Across both countries, representatives from\u00a0<strong data-start=\"749\" data-end=\"765\">24 companies<\/strong>\u00a0and higher-education institutions took part in structured discussions focused on improving IT study programmes and ensuring that graduates are\u00a0<strong data-start=\"909\" data-end=\"969\">better prepared for real-world professional environments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"972\" data-end=\"1024\">Focus on Bridging Education and Industry Needs<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1025\" data-end=\"1132\">The roundtables addressed key challenges faced by employers when hiring junior IT professionals, including:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1133\" data-end=\"1331\">\n<li data-start=\"1133\" data-end=\"1195\">\n<p data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1195\">gaps between academic knowledge and practical application,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1196\" data-end=\"1254\">\n<p data-start=\"1198\" data-end=\"1254\">insufficient exposure to real industrial problems, and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1255\" data-end=\"1331\">\n<p data-start=\"1257\" data-end=\"1331\">the need for stronger transversal skills alongside technical competencies.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1333\" data-end=\"1472\">Participants worked collaboratively to identify how\u00a0<strong data-start=\"1385\" data-end=\"1471\">industry input can be systematically embedded into teaching and learning processes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1474\" data-end=\"1528\">Key Outputs: International Industry Case Studies<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1529\" data-end=\"1643\">A major outcome of the Cyprus and Germany roundtables is the development of\u00a0<strong data-start=\"1605\" data-end=\"1637\">industry-driven case studies<\/strong>\u00a0that:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1644\" data-end=\"1860\">\n<li data-start=\"1644\" data-end=\"1699\">\n<p data-start=\"1646\" data-end=\"1699\">reflect\u00a0<strong data-end=\"1952\">previous roundtables in Estonia<\/strong>, ensuring coherence and comparability across countries.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2010\" data-end=\"2056\">Next Step: First Open-Access Deliverable<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2057\" data-end=\"2286\">As a concrete follow-up, the project consortium will release the\u00a0<strong data-start=\"2122\" data-end=\"2165\">first open-access Across both countries, representatives from\u00a024 companies\u00a0and higher-education institutions took part in structured discussions focused on improving IT study programmes and ensuring that graduates are\u00a0better prepared for real-world professional environments. Focus on Bridging Education and Industry Needs The roundtables addressed key challenges faced by employers when hiring junior IT professionals, including: gaps between academic knowledge and practical application, insufficient exposure to real industrial problems, and the need for stronger transversal skills alongside technical competencies. Participants worked collaboratively to identify how\u00a0industry input can be systematically embedded into teaching and learning processes. Key Outputs: International Industry Case Studies A major outcome of the Cyprus and Germany roundtables is the development of\u00a0industry-driven case studies\u00a0that: reflect\u00a0Cypriot and German industrial contexts, translate real company challenges into educational scenarios, and support student readiness for the labour market through applied, problem-based learning. These case studies are fully aligned with outputs from\u00a0previous roundtables in Estonia, ensuring coherence and comparability across countries. Next Step: First Open-Access Deliverable As a concrete follow-up, the project consortium will release the\u00a0first open-access deliverable next week, making the initial set of international case studies publicly available for educators, students, and industry partners.
