Με επιτυχία ολοκληρώθηκε το Σάββατο 12/11 το πρώτο εκπαιδευτικό σενάριο του έργου Sustain4Rural. Στο συμβολικό χώρο της παλιάς Ηλεκτρικής στις Αρχάνες αναλύσαμε με τη μηχανικό περιβάλλοντος και ιδρυτικό μέλος της Μιλέτια, Διαλυνά Εβίτα, τον αντίκτυπο της κλιματικής αλλαγής και την αλληλεπίδραση της με τη γεωργία· Με τη συνεργασία του Πυροσβεστικού Σώματος Ηρακλείου και του επιπυραργού κ. Ζωνάκη Βασίλειου, μάθαμε πως να προλαμβάνουμε και να προστατευόμαστε από τα πιο ακραία φαινόμενα, όπως οι πυρκαγιές· Και τέλος με τη συμβολή έμπειρων γεωπόνων, Μασαούτη Γιάννη και Σκουλά Γιάννη, συζητήσαμε για το μέλλον της βιώσιμης γεωργίας στην Κρήτη με επίκεντρο τις καλλιέργειες του αμπελιού και της ελιάς. Ευχαριστούμε όλους όσους προσήλθαν και συμμετείχαν στο διάλογο, τον Δήμος Αρχανών – Αστερουσίων για την συνδιοργάνωση και την φιλοξενία και ειδικά τον κύριο Μανώλης Σαμαριτάκης, αντιδήμαρχο πολιτικής προστασίας και πρωτογενούς τομέα για την αμέριστη υποστήριξη. Η σειρά σεμιναρίων του έργου Sustain4Rural θα συνεχιστεί με τις θεματικές της Διαχείρισης Νερού και Γεωργικών αποβλήτων, την Κυκλική Οικονομία και τη Συμβολή της Τεχνολογίας στην Γεωργία. Το έργο συγχρηματοδοτείται από το πρόγραμμα Erasmus+ της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης με συντονιστή εταίρο την ECECT.eu από την Κύπρο.

The 1st Transnational Project Meeting of “Cities Going Green: Application for the Development of a Green and Smart City” Erasmus+ project in Poland took place on the 6th-7th of October. During the meeting on the 6th of October, the consortium partners discussed the progress of the ongoing activities and decided upon the next steps for the project! On the 7th of October, the partners visited the Municipal Office in Grójec where students and teachers of Public Primary School No.1 demonstrated presentations on threats to the natural environment in the area, as well as environmental awareness in their community. ECECT is happy to present a new project on board: “BETES: Bootcamps for Emerging Technologies and Essential Skills ” funded by Erasmus+. The consortium of the project consists of 3 partners one is ECECT.eu from Cyprus, the second is Skills Zone Malta from Malta and the third one is Digital idea from Greece. A typical trainee is a teacher or other professionals associated with STEAM education (TRAIN THE TRAINERS). Various seminars and events will utilize developed material to educate or further educate the trainees on the latest trends and technologies. The main goal is not only to educate them on the current technologies and methods but also to make sure they have the appropriate handbook and tools to transfer that knowledge to young students.

ECECT is happy to present another new project on board: “ReSTELA: Remote STEM Labs ” funded by Erasmus+. The consortium of the project consists of 3 partners one is ECECT.eu from Cyprus, the second is TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology from Estonia and the third one is Scuola di Robotica from Italy. A typical trainee is a teacher or other professional associated with STEAM education (TRAIN THE TRAINERS). Various seminars, workshops, and events will utilize developed material, robotic equipment, and platform to educate the trainees on the newly developed remote STEM labs. The main goal is not only to educate the trainees regarding the platform but most importantly through pilot sessions, to ensure that they can transfer that knowledge to their young students.
