ReSENSE – Publication in the SPIE Digital Library ReSENSE September 26, 2025 09:45 am A scientific article based on the ReSENSE project has been published in the SPIE Digital Library. The article emphasizes the increasing demand for specialized professionals in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing, presenting the findings of a survey conducted in Cyprus and Greece. ReSENSE – RSCY2025 Σήμερα πραγματοποιήθηκε με επιτυχία το σεμινάριο “Σύγχρονες τεχνολογίες γεωχωρικής ανάλυσης” στο πλαίσιο του έργου ReSENSE. Οι συμμετέχοντες έμαθαν να χρησιμοποιούν σύγχρονα εργαλεία όπως το Google Earth Engine και το Land Copernicus.  Ευχαριστούμε το Cyprus University of Technology / Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου, Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence και το Aristotle University Of Thessaloniki και ECECT.eu που έκαναν αυτό το σεμινάριο δυνατό!

ReSENSE- Online dissemination event  Yesterday, we successfully held the online ReSENSE dissemination event on Satellite Remote Sensing & GIS!  Participants gained valuable insights into ReSENSE, remote sensing technologies, GIS applications, and innovative tools. A big thanks to ECECT.eu, Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence, and Aristotle University Of Thessaloniki for their contributions to this insightful session. On October 10, 2024, the first workshop of the ReSENSE ERASMUS+ project took place. The workshop, titled GEE/QGIS for UAV Multispectral Image Post-Processing, was held under the Topis of Image Processing. During the session, members of the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence, Ms. Maria Prodromou and Ms. Eleni Loulli, provided valuable insights into the use of Google Earth Engine and QGIS, both open-source software tools. They conducted a step-by-step workshop demonstrating how to use these tools for processing multispectral UAV images, focusing on spectral index calculations and statistical analysis. The workshop was attended by members of the Cyprus Agricultural Research Institute and the Ministry of Agriculture.
