ECECT: The 3rd transnational meeting of “Cities Going: Application for the Development of a Green and Smart City”

The 3rd transnational meeting of “Cities Going: Application for the Development of a Green and Smart City” (Erasmus+ KA2, 2021) took place on the 15th-16th of May in Athens, Greece. During the meeting, the Cities Going Green partners reviewed the demo of the developed game and brainstormed on various topics of the project, worked on pending tasks, and decided upon the next steps. The 2nd day of the meeting included the visit to Ellinogalliki Scholi Jeanne D’Arc, where students presented their developed VR game regarding Ancient Greece and the partners took a tour around the school facilities and Peirea. Many thanks for the excellent facilitation of the meetings of both partners Omega Technology and Ελληνογαλλική Σχολή Jeanne D’ Arc! We are eager to take the final steps of the project, towards the development of the Cities Going Green App!

Με αφορμή την Παγκόσμια Μέρα Νερού (22 Μαρτίου) υλοποιήθηκε την Κυριακή 19 Μαρτίου το δεύτερο εκπαιδευτικό σεμινάριο στην Κρήτη στα πλαίσια του έργου Sustain4Rural ! Κατά τη διάρκεια του σεμιναρίου είχαμε την ευκαιρία να μάθουμε για: τον καίριο ρόλο του νερού για την ισορροπία του περιβάλλοντος και την ιστορική εξέλιξη των πρακτικών άρδευσης για την ευρύτερη περιοχή του Ηρακλείου από την κα. Σφακιανάκη Μαρία, Γεωπόνο, Μsc Βιολογίας, από το Κέντρο Περιβαλλοντικής Εκπαίδευσης Αρχανών τη διαχείριση νερού και την αξιοποίηση νέων τεχνολογιών στη γεωργία από την κα Διαλυνά Εβίτα, Μηχανικό Περιβάλλοντος και ιδρυτικό μέλος της Μιλέτια καινοτόμες πολιτικές διαχείρισης υδάτων και το έργο iWATERMAPS του κέντρου Εurope Direct της Περιφέρειας Κρήτης από τον κ. Νικόλαο Μωραϊτάκη, υπεύθυνο επικοινωνίας του Europe Direct Περιφέρειας Κρήτης τη χρήση drones και την έξυπνη γεωργία από τη κα. Στεφανή Γεωργία, Γεωπόνο. Θα θέλαμε να ευχαριστήσουμε για άλλη μία φορά το Δήμο Αρχανών-Αστερουσίων και ιδιαίτερα τον Αντιδήμαρχο Πολιτικής Προστασίας και Πρωτογενούς Τομέα, κ. Μανώλη Σαμαριτάκη για την υποστήριξη και φιλοξενεία στην όμορφη αίθουσα πολλαπλών χρήσεων των Κουνάβων, τους ομιλητές και ομιλήτριες, καθώς και όλους τους παρευρισκόμενους για την πολύτιμη συμμετοχή τους. Με επιτυχία ολοκληρώθηκε την Τετάρτη 29/03 στο ΤΕΠΑΚ, και το 3ο εκπαιδευτικό σεμινάριο του έργου Sustain4Rural στην Κύπρο. Οι εταίροι ECECT.eu και Parpounas Sustainability Consultants μίλησαν για την διαχείριση αποβλήτων, κυκλική οικονομία και διαχείριση πόρων, καθώς και για τις ψηφιακές δεξιότητες και νέες τεχνολογίες, που αφορούν γεωργία, κτηνοτροφία κ.λ.π. Θα θέλαμε να ευχαριστήσουμε τo ΤΕΠΑΚ, κυρίως τον Δρ. Δημήτρη Τσάλτα για την στήριξη και την φιλοξενία καθώς και για τις παρουσιάσεις έργων τους σχετικά με την κομποστοποίηση και το οικοσύστημα αμπέλου και οίνου. Με επιτυχία ολοκληρώθηκε το Σάββατο 18/02 στον Αστρομερίτη, και το 2ο εκπαιδευτικό σεμινάριο του έργου Sustain4Rural στην Κύπρο. Οι εταίροι ECECT.eu και Parpounas Sustainability Consultants μίλησαν για την κλιματική αλλαγή, διαχείριση νερού και κυκλική οικονομία, κυρίως στην γεωργία, κτηνοτροφία κ.λ.π. Τις παρουσιάσεις παρακολούθησαν και μέσω του διαδικτύου τόσο απο τη Κύπρο αλλά και από τη Ελλάδα. ECECT: The 1st Transnational Project Meeting of “ReSTELA”

The 1st transnational meeting of ” Restela “(Erasmus+ KA2, 2022) took place on the 25th-26th of January in Tallinn! During the first day of the meeting, the partners visited Tallinn School No. 21 (Tallinna 21. Kool), in which robotics and digital technology are not only encouraged through multiple interactive boards, computers, and other technological equipment but also taught using LEGO educational robots and online educational games and platforms. The partners had the opportunity to attend some of the classes and view the aforementioned technologies. Later on, the partners discussed the progress of the project, worked on pending tasks, and then decided on the next steps. The 2nd day of the meeting included a tour of TalTech Information Technology College and a workshop where the partners controlled the Telepresence robots. The “Cities Going Green: Development of a Green and Smart City” (Erasmus+ KA2) project consortium, upon completion of Project Result 1: Theoretical Framework, held a 2nd face-to-face meeting, that was hosted by Tallinn University (Tallinna Ülikool) in Estonia on the 23rd – 24th of January 2023. During the first day, partners from  Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Poland, and Spain reviewed the status of the developed intellectual outputs as well as the current Project result 1: Game Design. OMEGATECH presented to the partners the game design proposal and then brainstormed regarding the elements of the game’s features such as the building blocks, decisions, theory, rules, and points/system. The game will be available for single and multiplayer use and will also include weekly quests. Followed by a presentation on the quality management guidelines by Tallinn University, the coordination of the upcoming dissemination activities, and the 3rd face-to-face meeting in Athens, Greece in May. On the second day of the meeting there were two presentations by Tallinn University with the topics “Continuous education – looking towards the sustainable future” and “Sustainable and green travel – are telepresence robots the solution?”. Following this, two experiential workshops were carried out. First, was the demonstration of the telepresence robots where the partners had the opportunity to control it themselves, and second, was the concept of digital storytelling, where with the use of an Ozobot the partners created their own stories related to green and smart cities.
